Short Novel Writing Course

My next short novel writing course will be a one day workshop on Saturday January 24th. The workshop will take place both online and in-person. It will run between 10am and 4.30pm in an elegant townhouse in Highbury, central London. There will be a strong emphasis on practical advice. The workshop’s content and timetable are set out below. The novel writing workshop costs £125 in-person or £95 online.

Novel Writing Workshop Outline

The Scope of the Workshop

This is a short introductory course to novel writing. It is suitable both for beginners and those with previous writing experience. The course will help you directly with planning and executing the project of researching and writing a novel. It can also help you decide whether to take a longer fiction writing course, whether a university MA or diploma, or one of the private sector courses run by publishers and agent.

The day will include a number of straightforward writing exercises, and there will be plenty of time for questions and answers. Part of the course will draw upon my novel Art as a research case study. It’s not essential to have read it beforehand, but it could be handy.

The course fee includes unlimited post-course support for answering further queries about fiction writing as well as for feedback on novel outlines. Feedback on full novel manuscripts and sample chapters is not included.
